CCI Health & Wellness Services Changes Name and Unveils New Brand Identity

The extensive rebrand coincides with the organization’s 50th anniversary and accompanies a further expansion into health equity advocacy.

SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND, JANUARY 3, 2022 – CCI Health & Wellness Services, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Maryland, announced today that it will change its name to CCI Health Services effective immediately. The organization also unveiled a new brand identity complete with a redesigned logo to complement the name change.

The rebrand comes as CCI Health Services celebrates 50 years of delivering accessible health care to residents in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. The organization will observe the anniversary within its health centers and administrative headquarters throughout the year.

Both the rebrand and 50th anniversary celebration marks a new era for CCI Health Services, one that comprises a greater focus on using its prominent reputation and decades of experience to advocate for health equity.

CCI Health Services’ history dates to 1969, when a team of health professionals in Rockville banded together with a shared goal to bring health care to the youth in the city. In 1972, the initiative would officially incorporate into a nonprofit organization, adopting the name Community Clinic, Inc. (CCI) and establishing a volunteer-run clinic on Fleet Street.

In the five decades since, CCI Health Services now operates seven fully-staffed health centers providing medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services to tens of thousands of patients annually. The organization is also the largest provider of WIC services in Maryland and completed the most refugee health assessments statewide in the last fiscal year.

Each CCI Health Services health center is designated a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMHD) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA.) The organization also received Joint Commission accreditation in 2003 and reaccreditation in 2018, an honor recognized nationwide as an emblem of quality, safe, and effective health care provision.
