CCI Health Services Increasing Health Access in Our Community

The connection between the health and wellness of each person and our wider community means one impacts the other. We’re routinely reminded of this relationship through pandemics and outbreaks—some sounding an alarm louder than others. Our interconnected health is something community health centers, like CCI Health Services, have been keenly aware of for over half a century. Over our 53-year history, we’ve continued to adapt and grow to support the health of each individual who walks through our doors and the communities we proudly serve.

Empowering Health Care

CCI Health Services is more than just a doctor’s office. We are a nonprofit medical practice grounded in community service. At CCI, we strive daily to create a quality health care experience for all communities.

Empowerment is at the core of our health care model. We equip our patients and participants so they can take control of their health and wellness journey. Our strategy to improve health outcomes and meet the unique needs of our community rests on our comprehensive services:

  • medical care, including primary care, pediatric care, preventive services, prenatal services, and women’s health,
  • dental care, including x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatment and more,
  • behavioral health, including counseling, referrals, and substance use disorder treatment
  • supportive services, including WIC and breastfeeding initiation,
  • and an onsite pharmacy offering discount medication.

At CCI, we choose love every day, and our love language is support for good health. CCI is open to all because we believe everyone has the right to excellent health care.

CCI’s mission is to lead the way to a better healthcare system for everyone by delivering high-quality, accessible care to our community members. We envision a healthy and empowered community for generations to come. This is why we continue to seek ways to address the challenges to health care our community experiences.

We’re Different

CCI is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). FQHCs, also called Community Health Centers, are the nation’s largest network of primary health care providers, increasing access to care for all, regardless of ability to pay, on a sliding scale fee. FQHCs receive grant funding from the Federal government to meet operational needs, recruit and retain staff and expand needed patient services.

Why FQHCs are important:

  • Community Health Centers increase access to health care for many who might otherwise go without.
  • They improve health outcomes and increase access to timely primary care, helping to reduce costly, avoidable emergency department (ED) visits.
  • During public health crises, emergencies, and man-made or natural disasters, Community Health Centers are often found on the front lines providing care.

We’re in the Community

We answer the call when our friends and partner organizations ask for health education and services at community events. Following the shutdown of the pandemic, we knew we had to get out in the community, provide helpful information, and reintroduce ourselves to our neighbors. 2023 was a record year for CCI Health Services’ participation in community events, with over 60 events attended or hosted throughout the region.
