We believe in empowering our patients to build stronger, healthier communities. Our Family Medicine Residency Program is rooted in areas where individuals and families have long been overlooked. Residents are provided a unique opportunity to train where the need is real, learn firsthand the challenges the local community faces, and improve access to health services.
We emphasize a whole-person approach to health care, recognizing the importance of caring for body and mind while considering individual circumstances. Residents learn to identify and address real-world challenges beyond the clinic walls that impact health and care delivery.
We foster a collaborative environment, encouraging residents to work closely with other healthcare professionals such as medical assistants, nurses, behavioral health counselors, dental providers, WIC colleagues, and community health workers. This collaboration enhances the effectiveness of care delivery and promotes an integrated approach to patient well-being.
Our Family Medicine Residency Program prepares physicians to serve all patients as partners in their healthcare, offering respect, clarity, and care. Residents work with individuals from all walks of life, learning how their experiences, traditions, and beliefs shape how they view and approach healthcare. The training encourages strong listening and clear communication skills to strengthen care delivery.
