1
Comprehensive Training
Our Family Medicine Residency Program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes inpatient and outpatient training, preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and office-based procedures. Residents gain hands-on experience in diverse clinical settings, preparing them for primary care practice.
2
Community-Centered

We believe in the power of community and prioritize serving the needs of vulnerable populations. Our Family Medicine Residency Program is strategically located in underserved areas, giving residents a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the community and understand its specific health care challenges.

3
Whole-Person Care

We emphasize a holistic approach to health care, recognizing that individuals and families require comprehensive care beyond medical treatments. Residents learn to address social determinants of health, mental health, and the cultural context of their patients to deliver patient-centered care.

4
Interdisciplinary Collaboration

We foster a collaborative environment, encouraging residents to work closely with other healthcare professionals such as medical assistants, nurses, nutritionists, behavioral health counselors, dental providers, WIC colleagues, and community health workers. This collaboration enhances the effectiveness of care delivery and promotes an integrated approach to patient well-being.

5
Cultural Humility

Our Family Medicine Residency Program values diversity and strives for cultural competence. Residents have the opportunity to work with patients from various backgrounds, enhancing their understanding of different cultures, beliefs, and health care practices, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to care.
