School Based Wellness Center Program
CCI offers primary care services to high school students, including those without health coverage, and to their siblings.
CCI’s School‑Based Wellness Centers (SBWC) are in six Montgomery County high schools. We work closely with schools and community partners to provide health care to students who attend:
Gaithersburg High School
John F. Kennedy High School
Northwood High School
Seneca Valley High School
Watkins Mill High School
Wheaton High School
Having care at school makes it easier for students to see a provider without missing classes. It also helps families get care more easily.
What Is Primary Care?
Primary care is basic medical care. It is the first place you go when you are sick or need a check‑up. You see your primary care team for:
Yearly physicals
Vaccines
Minor illnesses and injuries
Help managing long‑term health conditions
Our SBWC care teams include:
Doctors
Nurse practitioners
Medical assistants
Site managers
The SBWC team works with school staff to make care easy and student‑friendly.
Students can receive:
Well‑child exams
Sick visits
Care for health conditions
Treatment for minor injuries
Vaccines
Health screenings
CCI also provides:
Lab tests
Prescribed medicines
Dental varnish
Help connecting families to services
To receive care from CCI’s School Based Wellness Center, students must be enrolled in one of the 6 participating high schools.
