CCI Health & Wellness Services mourns the loss of longtime Board Member Carla Satinsky. Carla was a beloved TV Producer and dedicated community leader with a heart for service, who was lauded for her media and community work.
For decades, Carla made a positive impact on the Montgomery County community through her love of service, knowledge transfer, and passion for volunteering. More than 30 years ago, she founded Montgomery Community Media’s Montgomery Week in Review and its Spanish language version, where she was a producer until she retired in 2019. The show launched during a period of growth in the county and aimed to take residents behind the headlines.
Her service in the county went beyond community programming. As a leader and member of multiple organizations, she inspired others to contribute and give back. Carla served as the president and education director of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, was secretary of the Committee for Montgomery, served as president of the Rotary Club of North Bethesda, and chaired the Montgomery County United Way. In 2006, she was named Citizen of the Year by the Potomac, Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
On the Board of Directors of CCI, Carla was passionate about changing the lives of each patient served by our Federally Qualified Health Center. CCI was extremely fortunate to have Carla’s service for 11 years and during a time of change and immense growth. She made sure that we looked beneath the surface to identify and address the most pressing needs of all who call this area home.
She will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this trying time.
