The annual nationwide survey recognizes CCI’s commitment and initiative to promote inclusive care for LGBTQ+ patients.

SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND, APRIL 4, 2022 – CCI Health Services has been confirmed by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as a place to receive equitable, knowledgeable, sensitive, nondiscriminatory, and welcoming health care.

Released on March 28 in its 15^th iteration, the Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) is the national LGBTQ+ benchmarking tool for evaluating health care facilities’ policies and practices related to the equity and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and employees.

CCI received recognition in the Foundational Policies for LGBTQ+ Healthcare category, which serves to highlight organizations that demonstrate foundational policies to promote inclusion and a commitment to training in LGBTQ+ competent care.

CCI offers essential health services tailored specifically to helping the LGBTQ+ community, including specialized behavioral health counseling, care management, and PrEP access. CCI also plans and implements several year-round educational campaigns centering on the LGBTQ+ experience and promoting acceptance within the wider community.
