CCI Health Services Staffer Appointed to State Community Health Worker Advisory Committee
SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND, April 1, 2022 -CCI Health Services is proud to announce the appointment of Community Health Worker Manager Jennifer Martinez to the State Community Health Worker Advisory Committee.
The committee advises the Maryland Department of Health on matters related to the certification and training of Community Health Workers (CHWS).
A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a frontline health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served.
“It is a tremendous honor to serve on this committee. Being a board member means that I have the opportunity to speak on behalf of my peers and to give my own input to support the Community Health Workers that are serving the community,” said Martinez.
Martinez’s four-year term begins in October.
