Our Program

All CCI services are available equally to all patients regardless of ability to pay. WIC services are free to participants.
We are one of the oldest and largest providers of medical services to medically under-served people in Montgomery and northwestern Prince George's counties, CCI offers three major health services. In the primary care program, CCI serves more than 17,000 children and adults who are economically disadvantaged, homeless, disabled, with state medical assistance coverage or uninsured. The state of Maryland Women, Infants and Children (WIC)nutrition education and food supplement program enrolls more than 30,000 pregnant and breast-feeding women and children under the age of five. Over half the pregnant women in Montgomery County receive WIC services. Together, the programs serve more than 45,000 people in need who count on CCI for medical and health-related care. Lastly, CCI dental offers oral health care in Gaithersburg, Maryland. CCI is a patient-centered medical home for a significant number of individuals, families, friends and neighbors in our community.

Medical Care

Community Clinic maintains a strong commitment to comprehensive, affordable, quality primary care for children and adults. Board Certified Physicians, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Hygienists, Nurses, Behavioral Health Therapists, Nutritionists, Registered Dieticians, Dental and Medical Assistants, and trained support staff care for our patients and their families. CCI provides health care for the “whole person” and offers additional services a patient may need in a primary care setting such as mental health counseling, preventative dental services, nutrition assessments and counseling, diabetes and chronic condition management, and family planning. Medical care services available at all CCI health center locations include:

  •   Well-care for children and adults
  •   Acute and chronic care, including HIV, gynecology and preventive services
  •   Routine immunizations
  •   Family planning health care and counseling
  •   Diabetes education and nutrition counseling in English and Spanish
  •   Behavioral health counseling for children, adults and families
  •   Flu shots
  •   Referrals to medical specialists and followup
  •   Primary care labs
CCI patients and WIC participants can get staff assistance with state Medicaid eligibility and enrollment at CCI health centers. The Referral Specialists are bi-lingual and speak English and Spanish. Other language needs can be met as well.
