ROBERT J. BAROR, Esq.
Robert Baror is experienced in the areas of health law, employment law, civil litigation, and general transactional and regulatory matters. As an attorney at the law firm of Daniels Porco & Lusardi (DPL), Mr. Baror represented the largest integrated healthcare system in the Hudson Valley, New York, as well as the second largest group medical practice in New York State. While practicing at DPL, Mr. Baror handled regulatory issues involving the Stark Law and other healthcare regulations; a wide array of transactional matters, including hospital-physician joint ventures; and Medicare fraud and abuse issues. Subsequent to his time at DPL, Mr. Baror joined the Thatcher Law Firm (Thatcher Law), at which he was a partner and headed the firm’s healthcare practice group. At Thatcher Law, in addition to handling healthcare fraud and abuse issues, Mr. Baror had an extensive employment litigation practice which involved successfully trying cases in Maryland’s state and federal courts. Most recently, prior to joining CCI, Mr. Baror was the Managing Partner of The Baror Law Firm (Baror Law). At Baror Law, Mr. Baror litigated nearly all facets of employment law and negotiated employment agreements for healthcare executives, including the CEO of one of the largest health insurers in North Carolina; Chief Medical Officers; and other C-Level medical personnel.
Mr. Baror is a cum laude graduate of Harvard University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Employment Law Committee of Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc. Mr. Baror has authored articles for publications on health law and employment law issues, including for The Federal Lawyer, the magazine of the Federal Bar Association, and For the Defense magazine, the magazine of the Defense Research Institute.
